Sometimes, when I look at everything happening in the world, I wonder how close we really are to the end times. There are wars, suffering, disasters, and so many things that make people afraid of what might happen next. It is easy to start searching for signs and trying to figure out when Jesus will return.
But Matthew 24:36 reminds me that no one knows the exact day or hour. I think this verse teaches us something important: instead of spending all our time worrying about the future, we should focus on our relationship with God today.
Honestly, I believe it is easy to become so concerned about the end times that we forget how we are living right now. Are we loving others as Jesus taught us? Are we forgiving people who hurt us? Are we making time for prayer and reading God's Word? Are we trying to become better people, even when nobody is watching?
For me, being ready for Jesus is not about predicting dates or being afraid of every world event. It is about living with genuine faith, keeping my heart close to God, and trusting Him even when I do not understand everything.
I do not know when Jesus will return, and I do not need to pretend that I do. What matters is that I continue to grow in faith and live each day in a way that honours Him.
**My personal takeaway:** I want to stop letting uncertainty about tomorrow steal the peace God offers me today. Instead of living in fear of what is coming, I want to live with faith, love, and hope, trusting God with the things I cannot understand.
**A little prayer:** Lord, I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I know I can turn to You. Help me not to be controlled by fear or confused by everything happening around me. Teach me to live faithfully, love people sincerely, and trust Your timing. Whatever happens in the future, help me stay close to You. Amen.
