In my distress I cried unto the Lord, and he heard me.
Ὠδὴ τῶν ἀναβαθμῶν. Ἦρα τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς μου εἰς τὰ ὄρη, ὅθεν ἥξει ἡ βοήθειά μου.

Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
Ἡ βοήθειά μου παρὰ Κυρίου τοῦ ποιήσαντος τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν.
3
What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?
Μὴ δῴης εἰς σάλον τὸν πόδα σου, μηδὲ νυστάξῃ ὁ φυλάσσων σε.

Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
Ἰδοὺ οὐ νυστάξει οὐδὲ ὑπνώσει ὁ φυλάσσων τὸν Ἰσραήλ.

Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
Κύριος φυλάξει σε, Κύριος σκέπη σου ἐπὶ χεῖρα δεξιάν σου.

My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
Ἡμέρας ὁ ἥλιος οὐ συγκαύσει σε, οὐδὲ ἡ σελήνη τὴν νύκτα.

I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
Κύριος φυλάξαι σε ἀπὸ παντὸς κακοῦ, φυλάξει τὴν ψυχήν σου ὁ Κύριος.
