O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Τῷ Δαυὶδ, Ἱερεμίου. Ἐπὶ τῶν ποταμῶν Βαβυλῶνος ἐκεῖ ἐκαθίσαμεν, καὶ ἐκλαύσαμεν ἐν τῷ μνησθῆναι ἡμᾶς τῆς Σιών.

O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Ἐπὶ ταῖς ἰτέαις ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς ἐκρεμάσαμεν τὰ ὄργανα ἡμῶν.

O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Ὅτι ἐκεῖ ἐπηρώτησαν ἡμᾶς οἱ αἰχμαλωτεύσαντες ἡμᾶς, λόγους ᾠδῶν, καὶ οἱ ἀπαγαγόντες ἡμᾶς, ὕμνον· ᾄσατε ἡμῖν ἐκ τῶν ᾠδῶν Σιών.

To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Πῶς ᾄσωμεν τὴν ᾠδὴν Κυρίου ἐπὶ γῆς ἀλλοτρίας;

To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Ἐὰν ἐπιλάθωμαί σου Ἱερουσαλήμ, ἐπιλησθείη ἡ δεξιά μου.
6
To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Κολληθείη ἡ γλῶσσά μου τῷ λάρυγγί μου, ἐὰν μή σου μνησθῷ· ἐὰν μὴ προανατάξωμαι τὴν Ἱερουσαλὴμ ἐν ἀρχῇ τῆς εὐφροσύνης μου.

To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever:
Μνήσθητι, Κύριε, τῶν υἱῶν Ἐδὼμ τὴν ἡμέραν Ἱερουσαλήμ· τῶν λεγόντων, ἐκκενοῦτε ἐκκενοῦτε, ἕως τῶν θεμελίων αὐτῇς.

The sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for ever:
Θυγάτηρ Βαβυλῶνος ἡ ταλαίπωρος, μακάριος ὃς ἀνταποδώσει σοι τὸ ἀνταπόδομά σου, ὃ ἀνταπέδωκας ἡμῖν.

The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Μακάριος ὃς κρατήσει καὶ ἐδαφιεῖ τὰ νήπιά σου πρὸς τὴν πέτραν.
