He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.
Ἰδοὺ ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη οἱ πόδες εὐαγγελιζομένου, καὶ ἀπαγγέλλοντος εἰρήνην· ἑόρταζε Ἰούδα τὰς ἑορτάς σου, ἀπόδος τὰς εὐχάς σου, διότι οὐ μὴ προσθήσωσιν ἔτι τοῦ διελθεῖν διὰ σοῦ εἰς παλαίωσιν.

For the Lord hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.
Συντετέλεσται, ἐξῇρται· ἀνέβη ἐμφυσῶν εἰς πρόσωπόν σου, ἐξαιρούμενος ἐκ θλίψεως· σκόπευσον ὁδὸν, κράτησον ὀσφύος, ἄνδρισαι τῇ ἰσχύϊ σφόδρα.

The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken.
Διότι ἀπέστρεψε Κύριος τὴν ὕβριν Ἰακὼβ, καθὼς ὕβριν τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ, διότι ἐκτινάσσοντες ἐξετίναξαν αὐτοὺς, καὶ τὰ κλήματα αὐτῶν διέφθειραν.

The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.
Ὅπλα δυναστείας αὐτῶν ἐξ ἀνθρώπων, ἄνδρας δυνατοὺς ἐμπαίζοντας ἐν πυρί· αἱ ἡνίαι τῶν ἁρμάτων αὐτῶν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ἑτοιμασίας αὐτοῦ, καὶ οἱ ἱππεῖς θορυβηθήσονται

He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared.
ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς, καὶ συγχυθήσονται τὰ ἅρματα, καὶ συμπλακήσονται ἐν ταῖς πλατείαις· ἡ ὅρασις αὐτῶν ὡς λαμπάδες πυρὸς, καὶ ὡς ἀστραπαὶ διατρέχουσαι.

The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.
Καὶ μνησθήσονται οἱ μεγιστᾶνες αὐτῶν, καὶ φεύξονται ἡμέρας, καὶ ἀσθενήσουσιν ἐν τῇ πορείᾳ αὐτῶν, καὶ σπεύσουσιν ἐπὶ τὰ τείχη αὐτῆς, καὶ ἑτοιμάσουσι τὰς προφυλακὰς αὐτῶν.

And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.
Πύλαι τῶν πόλεων διηνοίχθησαν, καὶ τὰ βασίλεια διέπεσε,

But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.
καὶ ἡ ὑπόστασις ἀπεκαλύφθη· καὶ αὕτη ἀνέβαινε, καὶ αἱ δοῦλαι αὐτῆς ἤγοντο, καθὼς περιστεραὶ φθεγγόμεναι ἐν καρδίαις αὐτῶν.

Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.
Καὶ Νινευὴ ὡς κολυμβήθρα ὕδατος τὰ ὕδατα αὐτῆς, καὶ αὐτοὶ φεύγοντες οὐκ ἔστησαν, καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὁ ἐπιβλέπων.

She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.
Διήρπαζον τὸ ἀργύριον, διήρπαζον τὸ χρυσίον, καὶ οὐκ ἦν πέρας τοῦ κόσμου αὐτῆς· βεβάρυνται ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ σκεὺη τὰ ἐπιθυμητὰ αὐτῆς.

Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion’s whelp, and none made them afraid?
Ἐκτιναγμὸς, καὶ ἀνατιναγμὸς, καὶ ἐκβρασμὸς, καὶ καρδίας θραυσμὸς, καὶ ὑπόλυσις γονάτων, καὶ ὠδίνες ἐπὶ πᾶσαν ὀσφύν· καὶ τὸ πρόσωπον πάντων ὡς πρόσκαυμα χύτρας.

The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.
Ποῦ ἐστι τὸ κατοικητήριον τῶν λεόντων, καὶ ἡ νομὴ ἡ οὖσα τοῖς σκύμνοις; ποῦ ἐπορεύθη λέων, τοῦ εἰσελθεῖν ἐκεῖ σκύμνον λέοντος, καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὁ ἐκφοβῶν;

Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
Λέων ἥρπασε τὰ ἱκανὰ τοῖς σκύμνοις αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἀπέπνιξε τοῖς λέουσιν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔπλησε θήρας νοσσιὰν αὐτοῦ, καὶ τὸ κατοικητήριον αὐτοῦ ἁρπαγῆς.

Ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπὶ σὲ, λέγει Κύριος παντοκράτωρ, καὶ ἐκκαύσω ἐν καπνῷ πλῆθός σου, καὶ τοὺς λέοντάς σου καταφάγεται ῥομφαία, καὶ ἐξολοθρεύσω ἐκ τῆς γῆς τὴν θήραν σου, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀκουσθῇ οὐκέτι τὰ ἔργα σου.
