Copyright and text sources
Rights in the platform, Bible editions, and community contributions.
Updated: September 9, 2026
1. Platform and community content
Original platform material belongs to 51 Pegasi Fund or its licensors. Users retain rights in their original contributions; the limited operating permission is described in /legal/terms. Open-source components remain governed by their licenses. An AI output may not be unique or eligible for copyright, and its availability does not guarantee freedom from third-party rights.
2. Bible editions
A historical text and a particular transcription, translation, editorial apparatus, or digital edition can have different rights. Consult the source notice for the edition you use; do not assume that every Bible translation is free to republish.
The Brenton Greek Septuagint (LXX) and King James Apocrypha (KJVA) supplied here are distributed by eBible.org with public-domain notices. The KJV notice also describes separate printing rights in the United Kingdom. Sources: https://ebible.org/grcbrent/copr.htm and https://ebible.org/eng-kjv/copyright.htm . Source numbering and verse parts are retained in the import data; the reader groups lettered parts under their numbered verse. The 1 Enoch reading edition follows R. H. Charles’s 1917 English translation of the Ethiopic text, available at https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/77935 with a public-domain notice for the United States. Greek parallel columns and editorial notes are omitted; editorial marks and verse numbers remain. Dead Sea Scrolls links open external institutional archives; their photographs and translations are not redistributed here. Other editions have their own source/copyright metadata. We do not claim a license to modern translations merely because they are mentioned on the site.
3. Report a copyright concern
Email copyright@biblenotetaker.com to report an allegedly infringing contribution; /contact is also available. Identify the copyrighted work, each exact URL/location, your name and contact information, and your authority to act. For a statutory takedown notice, include a physical or electronic signature, a good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law, and a statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, you are authorized to act for the owner. Do not submit knowingly false claims.
We may remove or restrict reported content while reviewing a claim and may terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Where a statutory notice process applies, we will explain the available counter-notice procedure, including its required identification, signature, statements, and jurisdiction/service requirements. Restoration follows applicable law and any notice of court proceedings. This reporting channel does not represent that a DMCA designated agent has already been registered, nor guarantee safe-harbor eligibility.
4. Contact
Bible Notetaker is operated by 51 Pegasi Fund, Puerto Rico. Use /contact for rights questions. Do not include unnecessary sensitive documents in a public post when reporting an issue.
